Former collection of Julian Hamilton, Sr. Julian collected this direct from Alvah when they use to hunt together.

This finely carved and painted dowitcher was typical of the decoys found in Alvah Hamilton's decoy stand after his death. It is carved in the feeding position. Julian Hamilton, Sr. inherited Alvah's decoy stand after his death.
