Meiji period (1868-1912), circa 1890, impressive porcelain floor vase with raised flora molded handles flanking the neck, lower body is decorated serene palette and prized goshu blue with large blooms of lilies, hydrangeas, peonies, and a gilt cherry blossom tree rising above them, an elaborately decorated garden fence encircles above the foot, the interior of the wide bell mouth has coin motifs, lingzhi and scrolls, while the exterior of the rim is decorated with stunning pink cherry blossoms, signed to the underside in red "Hi" which refers to Hizen (Present day Saga Prefecture) and 深川製 Fukagawa sei (made by Fukagawa).
