Civil War Era Sharps Four-Shot Pepperbox Pistol

.30 caliber, walnut grip, serial number 4628 on 3-1/2 in. barrel's underside and again on the underside of the backstrap, circa 1860s, brass fame stamped C. SHARPS & CO. / PHILADA. PA on right and C. SHARPS PATENT 1859 on the left; four-barrel configuration slides open to load after pressing the button on the frame's front.

The surfaces are totally original; light oxidation to ferrous elements; working action.
