A wall installation in two parts, hand-made of dyed, unspun wool and yarns, 2001, signed and inscribed to the versos.

Sharron Parker is nationally and internationally known for her stunning painterly fiber art. In 2021, she recieved the Award of Excellence for Fiber at the Piedmont Crafts Fair. The Black Mountain Center for the Arts mounted a solo show of her work in 2022. And, most recently, she was invited to host a workshop and exhibit her work at the Filature de Belvès, a woolen mill founded in the 15th century that supplied thread for the Aubusson tapestry workshops, in Monplaisant, France.

Originally from Ithaca, New York, Sharron Parker received her BA from Duke University and her MS from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro. She has studied extensively at the Penland School of Crafts to hone her technique. Sharron has been awarded artist residencies and invitations to the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, the Mississippi Museum of Art, Penland School of Crafts, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and East Carolina University.
