Serial number 117809 on watertable, barrel flat, and forend metal, 28 in. blued barrels marked LEFEVER ARMS CO., ITHACA, N.Y. / LEFEVER NITRO SPECIAL with single front bead sight, barrels choked F and IM, shell extractor, receiver has flying goose engraving on each side, double triggers, checkered walnut stock and forend with recoil pad marked JOSTAM MFG. CO.

Despite the company's closure in 1919, LeFever shotguns remain highly valued by collectors and hunters for their reliability and historical significance.

Overall very good estate condition, barrels have surface scratches and finish wear, bores are shiny, stock and forend have field marks from age and normal use, buttstock has tight 1 in. crack behind top tang, tight 2 3/4 in. crack forward right side and heavy scar rear right side.
