Wallace was an early market hunter concentrating his efforts on Currituck Sound. His decoys are very old and his best work, like this example, are iconic sculptures. This example was made in Corolla before he moved to Poplar Branch, North Carolina.
Original paint worn to bare wood in places, working repair to the neck, age checks in the body.
