Later but early navy levant morocco with gilt fillet and decoration, spines with raised bands and gilt fleurs-de-lis and lettering within gilt compartments, top edge gilt, with green levant morocco doublures, silk morie over free endpapers, and ribbon bookmarks. 8vo. Each with frontispiece and lettered tissue guard, most with additional plates with captioned guards. Text in English. A beautifully bound set; boards with occasional scuffing, sunning, bubbling to leather, and rubbed corners; all spines browned, with rubbing (mostly at ends), and occasional chipping at head and minor creasing and residue, with joints lightly creased, a couple with minor cracking starting; interiors with occasional denting at fore-edge or minor edgewear, toned moire, scattered foxing (almost exclusively at endpapers), offsetting from bookmarks, and leaves with toned edges and rare spot of finger grime or small stain, pages overall extremely clean and bright; very good with the exception of Toilers of the Sea which has additional foxing (vol. 1) and significant damage, damp staining, and soiling (vol. 2).
