A Chinese Pierced and Carved Bamboo Brush Pot

Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 18th or 19th century, cylindrical form, finely pieced and carved from a section of bamboo with a scholars gathered under a carved with figures gathered under a knobby pine trees surrounded by craggy rockwork, comes together with a wood stand.

Brush Pot 6 in., with stand 7 1/2 in.
