The Book of Kings (Shahnameh), presented in identical manner in gilt wood floriate frames with both sides of the manuscript page visible under glass.

From the estate of Dr. Andreas Nomikos was a teacher, artist, set designer, and professor emeritus of Theater at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He was born in Alexandria Egypt in 1917 and studied at the University of Athens and the Slade School of Fine Art, London. In the 1950s he moved to New York, and designed opera sets for the City Center in New York and San Francisco Opera Company and abroad. Later, he taught at the University of Indiana at Bloomington and at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1971 until his retirement.
Paintings in very good condition; toning to paper; some scattered foxing to edges of paper; paper labels with numbers to lower right corners of reverse side on each.
