American Windsor Painted Armchair

19th century, retaining an old Boston label to the underside, black paint, nine-spindle faux bamboo back, saddle seat, through tenon joinery, turned splayed legs and stretcher base.

Underside of seat also with chalk inscriptions and carved initials "AM"

Old surface with crazing and finish wear; slight joint looseness to left arm.
