Unknown age, the whole with seafaring whaling scenes, within ornate borders of alternating lion and human mask decoration, set atop a cast Classical style metal stand.

Egg 5 1/2 in.; height with stand 9 1/4 in.

Some natural variation in to scrimshaw pigment opacity; shell drilled for display on stand; minor accretions to metal crevices.
