Early to mid 20th century, ink, colors and gilt on paper, a four panel folding screen painted with a scene likely from the Japanese classic literary novel The Tale of Genji, brocade border and lacquer wood frame.

Good estate condition; a tear to upper right of second panel; some scattered scratches; some water spots mainly to left two panels; reverse side has some tears and water stains.
