20th century; includes a black lacquered square form box, hinged, with hand-painted gilt decoration of figures in a courtyard; and an older pair of round black lacquered boxes with hand-painted silvered, gilt, and red lacquer decoration of a landscape with Mt. Fuji; none marked.

The larger box 7 x 7 in.
