A Chinese Dehua Blanc de Chine Crab and Lotus Washer and Waterdropper

Kangxi period (1662-1722), porcelain in lotus leaf shape with an elegantly curved stalk forming the spout of the water dropper, raised on three short feet, a small crab sits on side of interior well.

From the collection of Thomas English Cody (1889-1948), the great nephew of Buffalo Bill Cody, and by family descent.

Very good condition; a firing crack on exterior along stem; some residue from old label to underside.
