Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, a lovely pair of vases with mirror black glaze to surface, white to rim and underside, underside bears a six character Kangxi mark in underglaze blue, the vases come together with carved wood stands.

9 3/4 in., with stand 10 3/4 in.

From the collection of Thomas English Cody (1889-1948), the great nephew of Buffalo Bill Cody, and by family descent.

Good estate condition; some pitting or kiln glaze bubbles to rim and interior of mouth; hairline to rim of one.
