Kangxi period (1662-1722), the first, with bulbous body and narrow neck topped by a metal cap, body has traces of gilt floral decoration, rounded foot, unglazed to the underside, and the second a garlic mouth vase in monochrome coral red with gilt rim, both come together with carved wood stands.

8 in., 5 in., with stand 9 1/4 in., 6 1/4 in.

From the collection of Thomas English Cody (1889-1948), the great nephew of Buffalo Bill Cody, and by family descent.

Good estate condition; small chip to top of neck of smaller vase; larger vase with loss to gilt and some scattered scratches, cap has not been removed.
