Circa 1840-50, alkaline glaze of a celadon tone over light red clay, a stoneware one gallon jar of ovoid proportions with a semi-rounded upper rim, applied lug handles, decoration on both sides in iron slip, with a flower head on a bent stem. This design was used by Chandler from his time at Shaw's Creek to his time at Martintown Road.

Small glazed over rim flake; original kiln residue on an area of the lower body; one handle with glazed over area of loss to left side, and a few chips; above the same handle is a tight "V" shaped hairline extending to the rim, appears stable; the other handle with demilune hairline to edge and a second hairline to underside; some scattered tight shrinkage hairlines to interior.
