To include: Framed bill of sale for two teens, reading "State of Alabama / Montgomery County} Received of William H McLemore Nine Hundred Dollars in full payment of two negroes Joshua aged about Fourteen years and Fanny aged about Fourteen years the title to which negroes we will warrant and defend against the claim of all persons whatever and to be sound and well witness our hand December 13, 1832 /Jarrath Glen" ...plus: promissory note, location not stated, reading "$20 on the first of January for ....I promise to pay the sum Twenty dollars provided I think after I ascertain the disposition of a negro girl by the name of Sally for which this note is given is worth four hundred dollars. If I think she is not this note is void. June 11th 1831 Jesse Shivers."

The framed document 19-1/2 x 16 in.; the second being 5 x 7-1/2 in.
