1830s, dual pedestal form with brass escutcheon, having inset lower panels with molded trim, convex upper panels, the hinged top opening to two lidded compartments, and a central well lined in olive green velvet, raised on bun feet.

7 3/4 x 16 1/2 x 5 1/2 in.

Much of tin lining to compartment is intact, the right side with glued repair to underside with pedestal meets top; one foot appears later; right side lid with warping; scattered veneer cracks, and some areas of veneer repair.
