Circa 1877-1900, coromandel and satinwood with brass escutcheons, opening to reveal a fitted interior featuring a mirrored lid; containing eleven glass and silverplated dressing bottles, jars, and boxes, a mother of pearl manicure kit, a sterling silver compact and picture frame, and a silverplated miniature picture frame; over a large interior compartment; over a hidden drawer lined with velvet; the lock with mark of Chubb, London, the escutcheon monogrammed "H.F. Moore".
6 1/2 x 12 x 9 in.
The top with age crack, breaks to sterling and silver plated picture frames, a couple of losses to the rims of the glass bottles, and some minor chipping to the glass pieces, surface wear to the exterior.
