Coromandel with brass and mother of pearl foliate inlaid escutcheon, mahogany interior, hinged lid opening to reveal a fabric-lined writing surface and a storage compartment for pens and ink, fitted with a sterling silver mounted glass jar, a glass jar mounted with silver plate, and a fountain pen, additional storage for documents beneath the writing surface, not marked.

3 3/4 x 14 x 10 in.

The pen and jars are later, wear to the paper compartment, veneer repair to interior, minor age cracking.
