Circa 1820, black ink on light wood, likely sycamore, the exterior decorated in exotic figural vignettes and elaborate floral and foliate motifs, inlaid ebonized key escutcheon, with ebonized flattened ball feet, opens to twin covered compartments with ornate foliate penwork decoration, and original tin lining to the compartments.
