Late 19th-early 20th century, the first Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme - Molière by Emile Louis Picault (French, 1833-1915), inscribed with title and signed "E Picault" to the round terrace base, the subject depicting the main character, Monsieur Jourdain, in Moliere's five-act comedie "Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme." Together with a small casting of "Mousse Siffleur" by Victor Szczeblewski (fl. 1875-1900), inscribed with title to the obverse base.
