Two George III Inlaid Tea Caddies

First quarter 19th century, rectangular forms with inlaid key escutcheon, the first with mahogany and satinwood veneers, lid with banded inlay and oval shell marquetry, inlaid escutcheon, opens to a dual compartment interior, brass lion paw feet and ring handles (6 x 8 3/4 x 5 1/2 in.); the second in burl veneers with oval shell and fan patera inlays, with quilled and kingwood surround, canted corners with fluted inlay, opens to a now vacant interior with crimson upholstered lining. (4 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.).
