England, mid-19th century, in rectangular form with mixed wood veneers, mother of pearl or brass inlays, the smaller form a tea caddy with moth inlaid lid and banded strap inlays, twin compartment interior retaining some of the likely original lining (4 1/2 x 8 x 4 1/2 in.); the second box with high grade fancy parquetry inlaid borders, fan paterae corners, and open interior (5 3/4 x 12 x 9 in.); the third in a small box in similar patterned mixed wood inlay borders, lid with inlaid brass cartouche engraved "HANDKERCHIEFS", blue velvet upholstered interior. All unmarked.
