Bernyce Winick was an artist, author, fashion designer, pianist, and photographer. The longtime resident of Woodmere, New York studied fashion design at the Traphagen School of Fashion in Manhattan and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in 1943. Nicknamed the "Lady in White," Bernyce created award-winning paintings in acrylics, oils, and watercolors in a variety of styles including abstraction, realism, and impressionism. Winick used art as a way to help others, frequently opening her studio doors for neighborhood children to create art.
