(4) limited edition titles from "The 100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature" collection, bound in full gilt-decorated genuine leather with raised bands on the spine, moire endpapers, and ribbon bookmarks, all edges gilt, including James Fenimore Cooper's The Deerslayer and Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man.

(66) volumes, (57) titles, all bound in gilt-decorated leatherette with raised bands on the spine, patterned endpapers, and all edges gilt, including classics such as Crime and Punishment, Great Expectations, Leaves of Grass, Pride and Prejudice, Gulliver's Travels, The Aeneid, Jane Eyre, and many others. With (9) duplicate titles.

Largest 9 1/2 x 7 in.; smallest 8 1/2 x 5 3/4 in.

Generally in very good or near fine condition; an occasional minor mark, faint stain, slight separation from text block, light edge wear, or mild fore-edge foxing; one with fading to title on spine, a couple with more significant separation from text block and faint damp stains on fore-edge, and one with indentation at spine and small tear at hinge; many books appear unread with some leaves partially unopened. The limited edition titles with some additional wear including spotting concentrated on endpapers and foxing on the fore-edge of The Deerslayer; light foxing on page edges of Letters from an American Farmer; Admiral of the Ocean Sea with light rubbing, soiling, and residue to boards, interior with occasional foxing and some soiling to endpapers; residue/wear mostly on bottom edges; ribbons with damp staining; (2) with Franklin Library sticker on half-title or free endpaper; still about very good.
