Mark possibly that of William Stephenson or William Stroud, London (1817), raised on four ball & claw feet with lion mask mounts, gadrooned rim to bowl, two applied acanthus scroll handles, the domed cover with gadrooning and featuring a finely cast acorn and oak leaf handle, both body and cover with period armorial engraving of a demi lion holding a sword.
