Inspired by her mother who was skilled in crochet and knitting, Sue Fuller's work explores these domestic crafts through the fine art media of printmaking and sculpture. Fuller studied with Hans Hofmann, Stanley Hayter and Josef Albers. Her works are in the collections of the Tate Britain, London; Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C.; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and others. An example of this print is in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
