Vintage Hammond's Terrestrial Globe and Atlas

American, ca. 1930s, table top globe with paper gore construction, cartouche labeled "HAMMOND'S / 12 INCH / TERRESTRIAL GLOBE" and "C. S. HAMMOND & CO. / COPYRIGHT / PATENT PENDING / BROOKLYN"; set within a half metal frame and mounted to a wooden base fitted to hold C. S. Hammond's Handy Volume Atlas of the World (New York and Brooklyn, 1933).

Globe with toning and a few small chips and stains; metal frame lightly rubbed and loose on base, and the globe's slightly rough rotation resulting in scraping to underside; wooden base with edge wear, rubbing, a few scratches, and the top with some separation from side panels. Atlas with light scuffs and grime, corners rubbed, spine sunned with fraying at ends, and slight separation from text block; interior with some light toning, occasional light foxing, grime, and areas of gutter cracking.
