Late 19th-early 20th century, the first a sterling mounted magnifying lens, the handle marked "Sterling France" along with French hallmarks, presented in a fitted leather retailer case with mark of "Spaulding & Co. / Chicago-Paris" (1 x 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 in.); together with a pair of Parisian mother of pearl and ormolu opera glass, marked "LEMAIRE FT / PARIS", within a leather fitted case, interior marked "E L Metcalf" (3 x 4 1/2 x 2 in.).
