Lot Details & Additional Photographs
VIN# GHNL2103426 Mileage:
A very good car was found in Arizona in 2010. It was brought to NC where a complete nut and bolt restoration began, and was completed in 2017.
With the original 1622cc four cylinder engine, and a 5-speed Ford Type 9 manual transmission from Hi Gear Engineering in England. *A warm engine compression test showed all cylinders within allowable margins at 145/145/138/150.* A rack and pinion steering rack was installed. Both of these additions make this a very good driver quality restoration. The speedometer has been calibrated for the conversion, and a reverse switch with manually switched reverse light with warning was added. An electronic cruise control unit was installed. The entire frame, and anything black was powder-coated. Two switches under the dash control an electronic pusher fan that was placed in front of the radiator, and an electric duct fan was placed on the carburetor side to assist cooling in traffic situations. The manual fan remains.
The body was repainted in a Ford color from 2007 Creme Brulee. And the interior finished in a rich burgundy leather. With a beige canvas convertible top, and removable side curtains. The 60 spoke knock off chrome wheels have Coker Classic wide white wall tires. A luggage rack is included but not installed. A wind deflector, and side mirror are mounted on the drivers side.
