19th century, walnut veneer and mixed wood secondary, tapering rectangular form, carved upper side moldings pierced with rope handle, the upper chest panel with light and dark inlaid nautical star and radial patera motif, obverse featuring four upper drawers and large lower drawer, flush base with molded trim.

Interior retaining card stating "Ex Danziger Collection", likely referring to the early 20th century family, Edward &Theodore Danziger of Chapel Hill.

Areas of veneer loss and surface wear; some drawers possibly rebuilt.
