The first decorated in watercolor on ivory with scene of Judith holding the head of Holofernes, the Assyrian camp and General's tent rendered in the background, mounted atop a round inlaid wood box with silver-tone mount (3 3/8 in.); the second a round lacquered wood box, featuring a portrait of a woman attired in black gown, rendered in watercolor on ivory (3 1/4 in.); the third of a courtesan in garden, watercolor on celluloid, mounted on a conforming oval marble box with ormolu rim (3 3/8 in.). All unsigned.
From a Private Collection, Washington, D.C. Lower half of Judith box likely a later replacement; miniature of Judith with some cracks and associated repairs; some cracks to marble.
