20th century, bearing the apocryphal mark of Amos Sanborn (1812-1872) of Lowell, Massachusetts, includes a skull, crossbones, badge engraved "In hoc signo vinces" (in this sign you will conquer), cross, and three swords, most with engraved decoration, fitted with soldered loops to the verso, without monograms.
