Qing dynasty (1644-1912), late 19th century, elegantly carved phoenix birds of mottled spinach green jade carved in the mirror image of each other, the noble birds are perched on tall stumps with their heads turned slightly, the long tail feathers falling gracefully towards the ground, the carvings come together with fitted carved wooden stands.

Property of a Gentleman, Collected in Japan Very good estate condition; a few very slight minor nicks to tail feathers; one has some nicks to underside of foot; a natural fissure to lower branch of one.
