Warren Prior was born in Northfield, Massachusetts in 1811 and moved to Fayetteville in 1833. He was in the partnership of Campbell & Prior with John Campbell (1834-1836), and worked independently in The Fayetteville area thereafter. Upon Prior’s retirement in 1887, his son took over his business as Warren Prior & Son.
