Roy Willis purchased it from Harry Hamilton's widow in 1975.
Exhibited at the North Carolina Museum of History in 2008.
This large Harry Hamilton curlew has a stunning presence with an unusually large body with a looking down head made from an inverted tree limb. The body width of 2.25 inches and the 14 inch length gives this decoy a very imposing profile.
