Alvin Harris was Carteret County's second finest decoy maker, second only to Mitchell Fulcher. During Alvin's lifetime he maintained friendships with Mitchell Fulcher and Dr. Edgar Burke. Both men influenced him to carve with high quality standards. This decoy was crafted with balsa salvaged from Liberty Ship life boats during the second World War.
Original paint with light gunning wear, some minor pain loss.
