Purchased from Larry Etheridge on November 19, 2009. Larry was the son of Scott Etheridge and grand-son of Napoleon Bonaparte Etheridge (1874-1956).

Alvirah Wright is widely considered one of North Carolina's finest makers. Family members estimate he made between 300 and 500 decoys and sold them commercially for fifty cents each. His decoys are considered the finest sculptural decoys from North Carolina.

Old gunning paint, working repair to the neck, tip of the bill replaced by Cameron McIntyre.
