Charlie Waterfield learned decoy making as a kid from mentors John Cannon Waterfield, John Williams, and father in law, Ivey Stevens. Their influence is evident in his work. Charlie carved this significant ruddy in 1947 while at the Newport News Gun Club. He worked there from 1946 until 1964.
