Meiji period (1868-1912), a hexagonal bronze jardiniere cast with shaped registers populated by mythical
qilins flying above rocks, clouds, and
lingzhi, phoenix eye handles flank the vessel, raised on four lion mask head feet, vessel is set into a wooden base, appears unmarked.
DOA 10 1/2 x 14 x 17 1/2 in.
Some scattered surface wear; one head on foot with repair; interior of jardiniere shows signs of use; jardiniere is secured with unknown substance to wooden base; wooden base with wear and surface loss.
