Bode White, like brothers Stant and Leon, was a market hunter. Bode became an influential figure and once hosted a dinner in New York to promote wild duck. The dinner featured roasted ruddy duck. The event created a market for ruddys, redheads, and canvasbacks. Once market hunting ended, Bode moved to Churches Island and started a commercial hunting lodge called the Whites Lodge. Bode died in 1931, and one of his guides, Rufus Roberts, took over the lodge. It then became known as the Roberts Brothers Lodge.
Old gunning paint, some natural wood imperfections in the body.
