Clay Tillet was the son of well known decoy maker Alfonso Tillet and decoy making ran deep through his veins. He carved some interesting cypress coot decoys which were used to lure in the widgeon and pintails that fed on the grass shoals around Caffey's Inlet and Kitty Hawk Bay,
