Qianlong period (1736-1795), porcelain hand painted in gilt and polychrome enamels, very finely painted scenes in shaped reserves of Mandarin figures engaged at leisure in lush outdoor landscapes with many wonderful details, surrounded by a gilt ground of scrolling tendrils, the foot rim is decorated with gilt floral pattern over an iron red diamond ground, the interior of the bowl rim is encircled with a key motif in gilt and iron red, the interior well of the bowl features a lovely floral spray of peonies in pink-purple enamel.
