Roanoke River Basin, circa 1780-1800, yellow pine secondary, two part form, the upper bottle case featuring a hinged lid with molded edge, half blind dovetailed case with divided interior (holds 12 bottles), the conforming stand with applied molding at top, pull out drink slide, applied molding at base of skirt, tall square legs with inside chamfer and applied later fretwork returns.

Finished on all four sides; brasses and hinges are old and likely original; note high grade figured case in the solid.

Top board of lid with tight shrinkage crack; lid with small area of molding loss by escutcheon; small cut/patch to upper left corner of front of case; bottom board to bottle case is old and appears original but reset and with wire-head nails, likely while the interior dividers appear old they are likely later; all fretwork returns are later.
