Circa 1770, white pine secondary, dovetailed case, the top with exposed dovetailing and white pine board, the hinged lipped lid with bread boards and loper support, divided interior with (14) drawers, four flush graduated oxbow drawers carved from the solid, drawer stiles with molded edge, the base with applied molding and raised on four boldly carved original ball and claw feet.

Deaccessioned from Historic Hope Foundation, Windsor, North Carolina The top with dark staining and burns; the lid with four areas of cut, patch and repair (including escutcheon); interior with wear and dark staining; drawer runners and drawer guides rebuilt; back boards are original but reset; drawers with small cut, patch and repairs; later pulls (in original holes); case sides with shrinkage split; surface inconsistency at base and feet.
