Serial number 40171 on lower tang, 26 in. octagonal barrel marked MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO., NEW HAVEN. U.S.A. / 45-70 with single front sight and adjustable rear sight, walnut straight stock and forend with original crescent buttplate.

Overall good to very good estate condition, barrel and receiver have surface scratches and finish wear, stock has field marks from age and use, missing wood on top of wrist on top left.
