Eve Whitaker is originally from Lansing, Michigan. She studied printmaking at Indiana University and received her BFA from Michigan State University. After spending much of her adult life in Texas, she now lives in Florida.

Artist's statement:
Although visually theoretical work has given us new ways to look at the world, my own work can never linger in abstractions and always arrives back around to the human figure and it’s complicated relationships.
