Designed by Benjamin Tyler Henry and later improved by John Browning, it was known for its reliability and versatility, chambering popular cartridges like .44-40 and .38-40. Nicknamed "The Gun That Won the West," it gained fame among cowboys, lawmen, and outlaws alike.

Overall good estate condition, barrel has been shortened, barrel and receiver have surface scratches and finish wear, rear sight is missing notched ramp, dust cover has some play in movement, stock has field marks from age and use.
